Breakfast on the balcony

Good morrow.

We are awfully chipper this morning for someone that didn’t sleep well last night. We blame our neighbors.

Anyways, for the past week we have been sitting outside on our nearly completed (can’t wait for the CB2 purchases to arrive) balcony for breakfast.

Yes, we pulled the trigger. Hehe.

When Mr. B is gone we try to mix things up a little. Don’t get us wrong, we love our routine, but sometimes changing the slightest task makes time pass quickly when you miss someone. We know it may sound lame to move from scarfing down breakfast over the kitchen counter to actually sitting down outside savoring each bite of our sunny side up egg as a way to try and distract myself, but hey, it’s the little things.

A favorite part about sitting outside for breakfast is breathing in the fresh, crisp air and letting our mind wander. We daydreamed about being one of King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table. Oh yes, we are obsessed with that time period. Don’t ask why. We honestly think that we would make an excellent Knight. You’re probably thinking, why not be Guinevere? Well no offense, she’s hot, but not our style. We could totally rock a huge sword and kill a plethora of douche bags to protect the realm. It would be epic.

And…. We digress.

Anywho, breakfast was the usual eggs and toast, but today we got funky and added avocado.

“F-u-n-ky, cold medina”…. Remember that song? Man we feel old.

We are in love with avocados right now. We put them on everything from burgers to salads to egg sandwiches. The avocado provides a creamy texture that makes our palate swoon.

Hello, our green tender friend.

Alright, off to work. Typical day ahead but looking forward to kickball this evening.

See ya!
