Fisizrecipes for the table

Tasty tuesday

Howdy friends!

How was your Tuesday?

Last night we thought we might get a few inches of snow here in Denver, but when we awoke this morning, there was none to be found. We don’t mind snow, but we enjoy it more once December rolls around. It gets us in the Christmas spirit.

Now instead of ice covered roads for the next two days, we get a week of sunshine! Sa-weet. This is why living in Denver during the winter isn’t all that bad.

Since we didn’t have any snow, we decided to bust out our favorite boots for our work outfit today. We snagged these last year at Uncle Nordies, and they were not cheap.

We knew if we wanted a cute, comfortable pair of boots that would last more than five years, we would have to buck up the cash. But let us tell you, they are worth every single penny! Frye makes a fierce boot. They are comfortable and mold to your feet evenly.

These should be on your Christmas list. We promise you won’t be disappointed!

After work we decided to go for a run.

We have had a serious running itch lately. Not quite sure why because it’s freaking freezing outside.

But we will say the view wasn’t to shabby this afternoon in the park.

We stopped by Whole Foods after our run, and hit up the hot bar. Is it wrong to say that this is one of our highlights of the work week? All the food smells memorable, and when we don’t feel like cooking or want to order take out, this is a favorite deal in town. In the mix: – spanish rice – pinto beans – vegetarian burrito – 1/3 cup of tortilla chips (a. k. a crack chips) – toppings: sour cream, red onion, and jalapenos Dinner is served! Boot camp tonight was butt-busting as usual. Squats + Lunges + Leg Presses + Leg Extensions = One Sore Tookus! Even though we complain all the time about how much we hate lifting weights and that we are complete wuss, we can definitely tell our legs are stronger. We will give myself a HIGH FIVE for that! Alright, we are off to catch up on some reading. Have a good nite! Thankful Challenge: Day 8 Today we are thankful for our feet because without them, we wouldn’t be able to wear fierce boots and run!
