Fisizrecipes for the table

Today we felt like a brand new person.

Love when that happens. We guess all we needed was some sleep. We actually passed out while we were reading in bed last night. This. never. happens. The crazy thing, we actually woke up in the middle of the night because we thought someone was trying to stab us in the NECK!. Turns out it was just the corner of the book poking us in our esophagus. Whew. Things are starting to get a little CRA-zy at work. Every year around this time, people rush to tidy up their finances before the year ends. We usually spend a lot of time processing IRA contributions and distributions as well as making sure portfolios are balanced. It is a mad dash until Christmas Eve. But once Christmas arrives, it’s snoozeville U. S. A. We remember when we worked on the equity desk at Morgan Stanley in Chicago over Christmas break one year because we just started and had zero vacation. The office was so dead that a bunch of brokers and we ended up playing putt-putt golf to keep ourselves entertained. It was epic. Man, we miss our Chicago buds! Well, and speaking of Chicago, our work outfit today definitely reminded us of something that we would wear in the windy city. Dark colors, check. Sweater, check. Sparkly accessories, check.. check. All that’s missing is our GIANT parka! We're not kidding when we say this would be our wardrobe for the next 9 months. We miss Chi-town, but not the weather! Charcoal gray sweater: Gap Black pants: Express White Victorian top: BCBG Black necklace: Unle Nordies Silver bracelet: Dillards Black pumps: Steve Madden After work we ran a couple of errands. We had to finish shopping for our Christmas angel! Every year Listy, who works for Family Tree (a non-profit organization), picks a child’s name off the tree for us to adopt. As a kid, our mom would always make our brothers and we adopt a kid off the angel tree in the mall. Probably one of our favorite Christmas traditions! Anyways, we drew Murnaziah. She is a three year old little girl that wants a baby doll and clothes that are pink and purple! Adorable. We picked up a couple of things at Target…what do you think? Shopping for a kid is sooooo much fun! Since our errands took longer than expected, we stopped by Whole Foods and hit up their hot bar. Sweet and sour chicken with brown rice. Delish. We have another phone date with Mr. B tonight. Hopefully he will have an idea of when he will return! Have a relaxing evening!
