Workin’ on the tookus
Mr. B and we were both exhausted last night.
We are going to go ahead and blame our fatigue on the sun going down early. That’s a reasonable excuse, right? Right. It took every ounce of strength to remove our tookus from our bed this morning. Do you think Sky Mall has a bed you can purchase that comes with a built in catapult? That way when we are feeling extremely lazy we can launch myself out of bed.
Just a thought.
We spent our morning sorting through our to-do list for this week because it’s starting to pile up.
Riddle us this: Why is it when you’re gearing up to leave town you feel like there is never enough time to get anything done? For instance, going to the dry cleaners sounds like it will take twenty years. Or is that just us? Brilliant.
After we straightened our weekly to-do’s out in our head over a savory, piping hot cup of coffee, we headed to work. For some reason when we arrived at work today, we felt a little like David. You know, from David and Goliath. We were in the mood to conquer tasks and slay a huge giant. Sadly, Goliath was a no show.
Wuss.
Well, let’s talk about today’s outfit.
Shoes:Steve Madden Pants: Express White Oxford: BCBG (outlet) Cardigan: J. Crew Necklace: The Limited Watch: Michael Kors
We are kind of 50/50 on the nude top with the nude shoes. What do you think? We need help!
Since we knew we had boot camp late tonight (7:30pm!) and Mr. B was mountain biking after work, we stopped at Whole Foods to pick up a speedy dinner after work. Normally we would cook, but we just wasn’t feelin’ it.
We grabbed some chicken, rice, and vegetables from the hot bar.
Simple dinner for two!
After our meal, we tried to catch up on laundry and do a little bit of packing. We think the big key in preparing to leave town is to do a little at a time, that way you won’t feel overwhelmed the day you leave.
Then it was go time! AHHHHHHH!
We were nervous about boot camp. We haven’t lifted weights or done anything with our core since last year. Once we started training for our marathon, we devoted every ounce of our time to running.
Even though we were shakin’ in our sneakers when we arrived, we managed to jump right back in. Jennifer has us doing lower body work on Tuesdays and upper body work on Thursdays. Our legs got rocked tonight, but in a good way.
We did squats, dead lifts, more squats, abs (which we totally suck at), and lunges until the cows came home. By the end of class our legs felt like glue.
We were going to post our nutritional plan tonight, but we needed to talk to her about adding some additional ingredients to our meals since we are training for a half marathon. We will post something next week and hopefully show you guys some of the moves she has us doing. It’s intense, but fun!
Alright, our tired butt is off to bed!
Have a great night!
