Yesterday was a pretty typical Sunday.
We…
– Slept in
– Devoured a Breakfast Quesadilla
– Watched a movie: The A Team (funny btw)
– Picked up a few items at the grocery store
– Cleaned the apartment
– Designed a flyer for the upcoming Clay Shoot
“we work hard for the money…. hard for the money!”
– Took the Explorer to a Dealer for a price estimate
– Had dinner with Amy Jo and Eric who were in town from Aspen
– Continued working on the Clay Shoot flyer until the wee hours

It’s gonna be short. And when we say short, we're talking centimeters. Today is the only day we will work this week because tomorrow evening, we are headed to KC, and then to Table Rock!

We can’t even begin to explain how freaking excited we are to be going to the lake this week. As a family, we have been going down to Shell Knob, MO since we were a baby. Actually, our parents had been going there way before they had kids. They have some effing hilarious stories that we might have to ask them to share.
Needless to say, Table Rock Lake holds a special place in our hearts.
We remember as a little girl sleeping in our yellow, polka-dot bathing suit because we were excited and didn’t want to miss a beat! Even though it’s a six hour drive to get there from Wichita, we wasn’t going to miss the chance to jump from the brown mini van into the water when we arrived. Hmmm…. We wonder why we are always over prepared?
Anyways, since we leave tomorrow we can hardly contain our excitement. Instead of a yellow bathing suit to express our excitement, we now rely on our JAZZ hands.

“no, these are spirit fingers.” Work was busy today. Doesn’t that always happen when you leave for vacation? It’s like everyone reads a secret memo about your upcoming absence and then tries to make your life difficult. Geesh.
After work, we headed to Wash Park to blow off some steam and get our mind prepped for vacation. It was hot, but partly cloudy so we couldn’t complain. 3 speedy miles, and we were back to happy, let’s do some beer bong’s Lauren.

Once home, we got to work on dinner. We were freaking starving.

cheddar is better. This meal was actually speedy. Since the bratwurst were already cooked, all we had to do was grill them for 5 minutes on each side. Tasty wieners in ten minutes! wieners look good on a grill. Of course no brat is completely without a side and toppings. Toppings: sauerkraut, red peppers, onions and mustard. Side: salad with tomatoes, avocado, and a favorite dressing on the planet! say hello. refreshing. get in our belly. warning: do not try this at home. Off to watch Weeds and The Big C. Showtime has been killing it with these series. Have a great night!
