Re-entry
“Send us some lovin”….
Nothing like the smooth and soulful voice of Sam Cooke to get our head on straight.
Today was b. a. n. a. n. a. s. BANANAS!
Re-entry is tough.
Work was just as we expected: a gazillion emails, phone calls, clean up on aisle 10, and a list of non-completed tasks that have been growing like algae on our desk.
How is it that in one week things can get so out of hand? Are people that helpless? Does anyone else have this problem?
We managed to keep things under control, but we have a lot to do this week. When we arrived home we got straight to work on unpacking. Man, we packed a ton of crap. We even did laundry while we were gone and we still had a ton to do.
Since we hadn’t been home in a week our apartment needed a little work. How is it that stuff can get dirty even if you don’t use it?
We discovered Meyer’s Cleaner over winter this year and fell in love with their hand soap. We spotted their counter top spray at the store yesterday and thought we would give it a try.
It’s fantastic. Our apartment now smells like lemons and the spray doesn’t leave a waxy finish like most cleaners. We think we may have a new friend.
Mr. B and we were going to try and walk this evening, but more rain.
Dinner tonight was speedy.
We boiled some whole wheat pasta, sauteed a pound of ground turkey, and baked asparagus at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Once everything was cooked, we combined it with lemon juice, lemon zest, basil, arugula and olive oil. That our friends is a fresh dinner in less then twenty minutes.
We feel much better about the world now that we have nested.
We hope you had a great Monday!
