The perfect grand finale to a wonderful dinner was the bourbon-spiked s’mores shakes. They were so incredibly delicious, we might have needed a little help rolling out of there. Sunday morning presented a leisurely start, allowing us to fully relax and unwind at our comfortable condo before making our way to the slopes. Deciding on a selection of appetizers to share, my absolute favorite was the impressive “tower o’ crab,” a fresh and flavorful delight. To perfectly complement our meal, the locals’ recommendation of a refreshing blueberry mojito was spot on. It was the ideal beverage to wash down our delicious meal, offering a vibrant burst of flavor that refreshed us for the afternoon’s adventures.

Beyond Skiing: Snowmobiling Adventure

After lunch, we made our way back to the condo for a quick change, as our afternoon held an entirely different kind of snow adventure: snowmobiling. We journeyed approximately 20 minutes east to a breathtakingly beautiful private ranch, which Deer Valley partners with during the winter months.

Upon arrival, our fantastic guide provided a comprehensive briefing on how to safely drive and operate the snowmobiles. With a simple press of a button, we were off, venturing into the vast, snow-covered landscape. The tour lasted about two hours, offering continuously stunning panoramic views of the winter wilderness. It was an exhilarating experience, heightened by an unexpected and thrilling wildlife encounter – we were fortunate enough to spot some magnificent moose gracefully moving through their natural habitat. This snowmobiling adventure was a perfect complement to our skiing, adding another layer of excitement and appreciation for Utah’s natural beauty.

We returned to our condo just in time for another exquisite dinner, this time at the Seafood Buffet, located at the base of Snow Park Lodge. Now, the word “buffet” might typically conjure images of something less than gourmet, but Deer Valley’s Seafood Buffet completely defies expectations. Upon entering, we were greeted by opulent platters piled high with glistening crab legs, an elaborate sushi station featuring freshly prepared rolls, and a carving station offering perfectly cooked prime rib. It was, without a doubt, a legitimately upscale and incredibly impressive dining experience that showcased an extraordinary array of fresh, high-quality seafood and other gourmet delights. It truly set a new standard for what a buffet can be.

Making the Most of Our Final Day

Monday marked our final day at Deer Valley, and we were determined to make the most of every precious moment on the snow. We dedicated our morning to exploring even more of the resort’s diverse and challenging terrain. For those who relish steeper, more technical skiing, the tree runs off the Lady Morgan Express chairlift are particularly beautiful and offer an exhilarating experience amidst the pristine natural environment. Each turn brought a new vista, cementing Deer Valley’s reputation for exceptional skiing conditions and varied terrain.
