Birthday boy pancakes

It’s another gorgeous day here in The Mile High City. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, and today is Mr. B’s birthday! Yay!! We thought we would surprise him this morning with some kitchen-made birthday pancakes for breakfast. Who doesn’t love pancakes, especially on your birthday? We have been dying to try this pancake mix for the past year, but have never found a good excuse to purchase a box until now. Kodiak Cakes are made with 100% whole grain wheat and oat flour, and all natural honey. We were a little skeptical at first because you never know with organic products. Sometimes the taste can be way off. We followed the package instructions: – In a bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1 cup of the pancake mix, and stir. We also added a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon to kick the batter up a notch. We were surprised how fluffy the pancakes turned out, and the taste was standout. We think it’s safe to say that Kodiak Cakes are going to be added to the pantry of fun. Oh, and we didn’t just stop with the pancakes, it’s Mr. B’s birthday people, we have to go BIG! We decided to caramelize a couple of banana slices as well. (Preheat a skillet to medium. Add a tablespoon of butter as well as your banana slices. Brown on both sides and serve). Holy bananas! These bad boys were off the charts. Also on the pancakes: – peanut butter – chia seeds – blueberries – maple syrup And of course…. birthday candles! Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday Mr. B… Happy Birthday to you!! Happy Birthday love! We hope you have a great day. Love you! P. S. Stay tuned for more birthday shenanigans.
