A sassy monday
We have a feeling this week is going to fly by faster than a G6.
Am we complaining? Nope. Am we excited? You betcha. Why you ask? Mr. B and we heading west on Thursday. We’re not going terribly far, just the next state over. Have you ever heard of Utah? Ever been? Would you believe us if we told you that we have never been? We know two things about the state of Utah – 1) 2002 Winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City 2) Lots of Mormons. Hmmm, we're thinking we may need to wiki-y the U-State because apparently we know zilch.
Okay, the real reason why we are visiting SLC is to ski at Deer Valley. Mr. B and we were asked by one of the companies he works with if we would like to come up and stay for the weekend in one of their lodges. Um, yes! Mr. B is good friends with a couple of the guys and it was gracious of them to invite us up for the weekend. We wonder if they know how to play Presidents and Assholes? Besides scrambling to get ready to leave town this week, work has been absolute bananas! Every day we receive a call with someone yelling, “May-day, May-day! We need our 5498 tax form ASAP!” Whoa bessie. Unfortunately everything will be an emergency from now until April 15th. Sigh. It’s good thing that we had on our Fergie boots to keep us feelin’ sassy today!
Gray sweater: Gap Black top: Banana Republic Skinny jeans: Nordstroms B. P. Boots: Fergie Jewelry: Dillards Well, and speaking of keeping things sassy, the weather was on a roll today. Dude, fifty-five and sunny again, ahhhh…yeah! We frolicked over to Wash Park after work and decided to soak up the warm rays by jogging a couple of laps around the park.
Fact: January + Spring like temps > June + Winter like temps…write that down.
Since our day consisted of sassy things, we couldn’t end it on a dull note. Meet Mr. Smoked Bacon Chipotle Salt. Our mom put him in our Christmas stocking and said he added the reliable sass to any meat. Mmmmmm…b-a-c-o-n. We actually forgot about the flavored salt until we were driving home today from Whole Foods with pork chops in our grocery bags. We began to brainstorm ideas on ways to spice up these chops, and the light bulb immediately went on in our head (don’t you love it when that happens?). Duh, Chipotle Bacon Salt! We sprinkled the flavored salt over the chops and sauteed them 7 minutes on each side. Oh do you want to see a picture? Here ya go….. oh wait. This is part where we apologize for not taking a picture of the juicy pork chop. Apparently our stomach got first dibs. We hope your week is off to a great start. Mr. B and we are catching up on a couple of shows tonight. Two of our favorites right now – #Shameless and #HouseofLies Catch you on the flip side!
